Laura Quinn: Managing
Partner, QRS Newmedia, Inc
Laura Quinn is Managing Partner at QRS Newmedia, Inc. During the
2000
Presidential elections, Laura was senior communications advisor
to the
Democratic National Committee. Prior to accepting that position
she
served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Vice President Al Gore.
Before serving in the White House, Laura was Director of the United
States Senate Democratic Technology Communications Committee, where
she
coordinated the Senate Democratic Leadership's efforts to develop
message themes and craft media delivery strategies. While in the
Senate,
Laura also oversaw the design, construction, and successful launch
of
the DTCC media center, a state of the art facility.
Mark Walsh: CEO,
Air America Radio
Mark Walsh is the CEO of Air America Radio, which has finally brought
the airwaves a progressive voice. Boasting artists Al Franken,
Jeneane Garofalo, Randi Rhodes, and Chuck D, Air America Radio
is just the latest example of Mark Walsh’s stellar career
in business. From the late 70's through the early 90's he held
posts such as news anchorman, Head of New Business Development
at Home Box Office, VP/GM at CUC International's OnLine group,
and President of GE's online service (GENIE). He joined AOL in
early 1995 and created and ran AOL Enterprise, the business-to-business
division of AOL. Later he joined VerticalNet Inc, as its CEO, taking
the company public in early 1999 and raising $500MM in capital.
He became chairman in late 2000. He also served as Chief Technology
Advisor at the Democratic National Committee in 2002 and as the
head of internet operations at John Kerry for President until he
joined Air America Radio. Mark served as a board member and Chair
of the Software and Information Industry Association. Mark holds
an MBA from Harvard Business School.
David Weinberger: Co-Author, The Cluetrain Manifesto
Dr. David Weinberger is a co-author of the
bestselling book, The Cluetrain Manifesto and author of Small Pieces
Loosely Joined. He is a frequent commentator on National Public
Radio’s “All
Things Considered” and “Here and Now”, is a columnist
for KMWorld, and has been published in many magazines including Wired,
Harvard Business Review, Salon, The New York Times, InfoWeek and
Release 1.0. David was Senior Internet Advisor to the Dean campaign
and was recently accepted as a Fellow at Harvard’s Berkman
Institute for Internet & Society. He has a Ph.D. in philosophy
from the University of Toronto.
